#40 — cradle (by Luminous Lu) 40/365 I like trains. No, I love them. I love how cradled I feel by the noise and the rumrum of the tracks; I like the silence that establishes itself after a while, on a long trip. I like the ruffle of papers, of books. I like the lack of tension — on a plane, whether you like it or not, half the people in there are afraid something might happen; it makes the air heavy with anxiety. Trains are calmer. Quieter. I want to run the world in a train, live in one. Photograph a few. I really really like trains.
